TESTIMONIALS: THE KRIYA EFFECT
“I came across Kriya and fell in love with it deeply. To me, as a psychologist and body therapist, it made perfect sense why we do what we do, even though it looks that weird.
I’ve been practicing and sharing Kriya for 3 years, and it never ceases to amaze me. What it did and what it means in my journey:
- Kriya was accompanying me through the hardest heartbreak of my life, and helped me not only come out with grace and even more love for myself and others, but also turn my pain into a remedy for myself and others. My highest popular workshop is Broken Heart Kriya:)
- It brought me an unshakable sense of self-love and self-worth; regardless of what others think of me or what my current situation is, I know I’m worthy, I’m loved, and taken care of.
- It was one of the most valuable things supporting me through hardships, and it helped me stay committed to myself and to this journey, whatever happens.
- It helped me to develop better connection to my energy body, to understand my energy anatomy and feel it more, and to become more sensitive to the subtle layers of existence.
- Through Kriya I got the most beautiful soul family ever. This quality of connection and this frequency we can meet each other is really special.
- And the most magical thing that happened to me because of Kriya was not even when my soul was traveling to higher dimensions (which was a big part of the journey), but in material reality, when I asked for help and received everything that was needed in just a couple days.

WHO IS GORAKSHANATH MAHAVATAR BABAJI?
Shiv-Goraksha Babaji is regarded as a manifestation of Lord Shiva himself. Lord Shiva is the founder of the Nath Tradition (Sampradaya), which is a timeless lineage of spiritual masters connected with Infinite Consciousness through Babaji Gorakshanath. Throughout the length and breadth of India, legends, stories, and myths abound about Guru Gorakhnath. However, for the yogis and spiritual Masters who have been Graced by His presence, He is no mythical figure. Whenever invoked, His name evokes tremendous reverence and awe. Mahavatar Babaji reveals Himself to only a few He chooses and usually remains invisible, guiding humanity through His disciples. He has bestowed upon humanity the practices to evolve human consciousness, in particular, the divine alchemy of Shiva Shakti (Kriya Yoga). He did this in modern times through the great yogi, Lahiri Mahasaya, His beloved disciple, who was chosen by Him to reintroduce the lost practice of Kriya Yoga to the world.
Lahiri Mahasaya was witness to a moment in spiritual history when Mahavtar Babaji made a solemn and immortal promise to humanity: “I shall never leave my physical body. It will always remain visible to a small number of people on this earth.” Lahiri Mahasaya also explained: “Babaji has been chosen by God to remain in his body for the duration of this particular world cycle. Ages will come and go … still the deathless Master, beholding the drama of the centuries, shall be present on this stage terrestrial.”
There are very few accounts of Babaji’s childhood. One source of information is the book Babaji and the 18 Siddha Kriya Yoga Tradition by Marshal Govindan. According to Govindan, Babaji was born to a Nambudiri Brahmin couple and was named Nagarajan (king of serpents) by them.
According to Marshall Govindan’s book, at the age of eleven, he made a difficult journey on foot and by boat with a group of ascetics to Kataragama, Sri Lanka. Nagaraj met Siddha Bhogarnathar and became his disciple. Nagaraj performed intensive yogic sadhana for a long time with him. Bhogarnathar inspired Nagaraj to seek his initiation into Kriya Kundalini Pranayama from Siddha Maharishi Agastya. Babaji became a disciple of Siddha Agastya. Nagaraj was initiated into the secrets of Kriya Kundalini Pranayama, or “Vasi Yogam”. Babaji made a long pilgrimage to Badrinath and spent eighteen months practicing yogic kriya taught to him by Siddha Agastya and Bhogarnathar. Babaji attained self-realization shortly thereafter.

It is said that the science of Kriya Yoga was lost (or hidden) and only revealed once again when Maha Avatar Babaji started appearing to his disciples in the 1900s. It is from this eternal Grandmaster Gorakshanath Babaji, that we have this knowledge in modern times. This mystical science of kriya yoga has its origins in the caves of the Himalayas, as this is where Maha Avatar Babaji and his disciples practiced.
